On Sunday mornings I’m reserving my home, and my coffee for friends who want to enjoy it with me, along with some snacks, and a bit of time to converse about the things of life and God. (9:15-10:10 a.m.)
I’ve decided, if my husband makes the coffee, we won’t be forced to look at passages in He-brews. (A few coffee and Bible jokes there. Not very good ones, though. Sorry.)
I may create a home page tab to reflect specifically on our times together, and the topics, or the insights that come from it. Feedback on this idea would be appreciated.
If you join us for Jehovah Java Coffee Club time, or plan to, or would like to join in “at a distance,” please be encouraged to continue our conversation after posts, or add your input.
Today’s topic was entered as the previous post, Sunday Homily.

Okay, the thought of being photoshopped into a photo on your mantel is just creepy enough to be awesome!
Great picture, by the way. This is almost enough to make one wish to live in . . . Pennsylvania. And this new spiritual practice could reduce sermon somnolence by as much as fifty percent.
Matt, Are you saying it gives you the Screaming Habdabs? Because that’s what I was going for. I won’t go into the candles and incense because that could be considered going overboard. I don’t want to push you away.
Doug:
Maybe you should move here. I’d wait until warmer weather though.
Actually, my daughter (“Ellie” Gabrielle) thought the photo idea up. The commercial -for a credit card or something- with all the faces found in ordinary objects, is one of her favorites right now. Both of my kids love to locate the smiles or frowns in the items like chairs, purses, doorways, etc. Ellie wanted me to mention it was her who thought of it, when she spotted this lid, in case anybody asked.
I agree that coffee helps make church better somehow…
