These answers are limited and open to ongoing revision.<\/p>\n<p>3:00<\/p>\n<p>Reframing needed. Question the question and its suppositions about seeing suffering first and foremost as the issue.<\/p>\n<p>3:40<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>If we are pitying a disabled person and seeing them how we would interpret\u00a0suffering, we might be off base.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>4:10<\/p>\n<p>Exclusion as suffering. Interdependent and that holds up the preciousness and fragility of life and human experience as valuable. Good things can be fragile things.<\/p>\n<p>6:30<\/p>\n<p>Does God cause suffering and determine it? (disciples of Jesus thinking of blindness as a curse)<\/p>\n<p>So the glory of God can be revealed. (What might that mean that we haven&#8217;t understood yet. God is bigger than our questions and we should feel free to engage in dialogue with God and each other about God.<\/p>\n<p>2. (not in the academic halls or in isolation).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18:00<\/p>\n<p>On developing the perception to see\/understand differently and to see places where people have been harmed by certain ways of seeing these\u2026like the healing narratives\u2026illness as curses from God, or metaphors of seeing and hearing language and attitudes<strong> (able-ism)<\/strong> for example.<\/p>\n<p>18:50<\/p>\n<p>How to show consideration:<\/p>\n<p>Asking before you assist someone.
