about<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">videos and uploads from people on their walk about<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">showing millions and millions what to gasp about<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">because honestly to see so many videos about . . .<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Well, that might be where we get stuck<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">or unable to label true stories or fables<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">either over dinner or all too often under the table<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">dealing with people who . . .<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Well that might make things sticky<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">when hearing only one side of a story sure makes things iffy<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">and so we are left with a tricky . . .\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">What is race?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">And is that the question?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Or what is racism<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">and is that the conglomeration of too many. . . swirling in one population<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">with too many nationalities, ethnicities in one or several locations?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Again, is that the question?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">I watched videos of the recent incidents<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">and no lie, I felt completely absent from joy<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">and completely different from indifference<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">but also distant from revenge or payback.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">I honestly felt more under attack<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">not from a color, but from a sin<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">something within every human<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">and because we are fallen<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">we lack the courage to say what C.S. Lewis so eloquently expressed:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">\u201c<i>We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst<\/i>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><b>end quote.\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Isn\u2019t that utterly ridiculous and even senseless?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">But, oh dear friends, he is speaking to our present day existence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">We take Jesus out of schools<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">and are stupid enough to demand and look for values.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">We sanction abortion,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">but lock up thieves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">We \u201cHooray!\u201d same sex marriages<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">and question why little boys and little girls struggle with identity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">We laugh and mock politicians,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">but stay out of the polls<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">and then when we turn on the tv,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">we have the audacity to ask, \u201c<b><i>What is going on<\/i><\/b>?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">So is that the question?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">What channel should I watch just to get away from this humiliating madness?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">What channel can I view to escape the constant harassment?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">To be honest, friends,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">when I watch these videos again and again,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">I fall to my knees in utter repentance<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">because I start to see color when I see brutality.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">I start to see race when I see crimes against humanity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">And I only feel that way when I lack the courage to say these words from Dietrich Bonhoeffer:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">\u201c<i>Judging others makes us blind whereas love is illuminating<\/i>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><b>end quote.\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Then no wonder we can\u2019t see.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Our judgements have burned down these cities<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">and we wrestle all night<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">wondering who and what color will be the victim of our fights<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">like 2 wrongs ever made a . . .\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Mother Theresa smiled and said, \u201c<i>God will ask, \u2018How much love did you put into what you di<\/i><em>d<\/em><em>?<\/em>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><b>end quote.\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Is that the question?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">That question will expose the reality in our hearts\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">as we 60-mile-an-hour brick through windows<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">hoping that will cover up the anger and grief in our souls<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">and so we submit to temporary exhilarations\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">contributing to an ongoing deviation<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">of how not to deal with a systemic situation<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">as we watch those bricks shatter bank accounts<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">but do we even take into account<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">the morning after the one night stand<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">when fumes consume the inability to resume<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">the life we presume or desired.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">I have a question because I can\u2019t put out this fire:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">How do unjust deaths lead to grocery buggies with flat screen tvs<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">car trunks with microwaves and DVD players?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Yeah! I\u2019m a hater.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">What are we doing and what have we done?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">We\u2019re teaching a younger generation that sin has a color<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">and revenge is the other route to avenge<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">and we\u2019re letting them grow up with another lie.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Why are we quiet?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">If we choose to send a message of silence<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">we are inevitably advocating the violence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">It\u2019s hard to see through the anger in our hearts,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">the unforgiveness in our carts,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Add to cart<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">the grudges in our cart<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Add to cart<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">the vindictive actions that tasted sweet but only backwash tart<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Add to cart<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Check question?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">What can we do to get away from this stench of sin covered in revenge<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">covered in avenge someone\u2019s death.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Our plight has us fight against skin,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">but the only real fight is the one against sin,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">but how do you fight a force you can\u2019t grab, you can\u2019t choke?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Is that why we burn down buildings because at least with smoke<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">we can see the ruin of our demise<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">and yet even when I close my eyes<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">I can\u2019t shut out or shout out the images inside.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">I\u2019ve already seen them \u2013 the punches, the chokeholds, the funeral and in these last days my brothers and sisters, get ready for more turmoil.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">All men sin and fall short;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">that\u2019s nothing new to report<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">accept with that terse verse feel free to rehearse your own shortcomings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">May not have involved a chokehold or a gun<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">but a sin is a sin, and in the end,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">we all desperately need repentance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Don\u2019t we?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Isn\u2019t that the
