The daily office (aka Conical hours, divine hours, Liturgy of the Hours, or fixed hours of prayer) are fixed times of prayer set throughout the day. <span style=\"color:#000000;\">Millions of Christians the world over are in prayer at these times, and this routine allows space for communion with God, and the potential for continual spirit of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"God\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/God\">God<\/a>-awareness in regular life.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>It encourages <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Followers of Christ\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Followers_of_Christ\">followers of Christ<\/a> to accomplish that which the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Paul of Tarsus\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Paul_of_Tarsus\">Apostle Paul<\/a> admonished, to &#8220;pray without ceasing.&#8221; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Here are the &#8220;divine hours&#8221;:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3778\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3778\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lisadelay.com\/blog\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/dailyofficesched.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3778\" title=\"dailyofficesched\" src=\"https:\/\/lisadelay.com\/blog\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/dailyofficesched.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"165\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lisadelay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/dailyofficesched.png 883w, https:\/\/lisadelay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/dailyofficesched-350x116.png 350w, https:\/\/lisadelay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/dailyofficesched-300x99.png 300w, https:\/\/lisadelay.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/dailyofficesched-600x199.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3778\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The daily offices of prayer<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>This practice is particularly powerful when done in community. A retreat, or trip with others could include the teaching and experience of the daily office. And, one does not need a priest or clergy to &#8220;do it right&#8221;.
